Flagship Retail - 5th Ave.

This extraordinary glass elevator, set in a structural glass shaft became a retail landmark. It is notable that the load on guide rails used for this elevator was significantly reduced through the use of a special hydraulic piston, thus the guide rails were virtually unseen by the rider. This elevator was replaced by a newer enclosed elevator in September 2019.
